Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for the management and oversight of three vital aspects of the employee experience to enable employees to Live their Legacy at LG Health and drive retention and engagement.   These areas include, Engagement, New Employee Onboarding, and Career Services. Specifically, the position is responsible for making recommendations on the design and implementation of system-wide employee engagement and career services, and education programs that ensure an optimal employee experience throughout an employee’s career at Lancaster General Health. 

HOURS: 40 hours/week M-F with a hybrid format.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

  • Develops an organization strategy for Workforce Engagement and Recognition, Career Growth and Workforce Education. Accountable to ensure engagement strategy and tactics are implemented as designed.  Provides supervision of an Engagement and Leadership Development Coordinator who will have responsibility to execute the engagement tactics and events.
  • Provides program leadership to execute and evolve the Talent /Career Mobility strategy in partnership with other key HR leaders such as Director, Talent Management and Director, Talent Acquisition, and SHRBP’s.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of all program facets of Career Services and Engagement.
  • Ensures the organization has the right tools and resources to drive career growth and talent mobility including delivering organizational programming as necessary in support of Career Growth and Development i.e.  workforce education.
  • Partners with HR leaders and HR Business Partners to determine ongoing and projected needs of the workforce to foster growth and development. Program offerings become an extension of all of the myriad ways employees can grow and develop and Live their Legacy.
  • Responsible for regularly assessing engagement and recognition needs and developing innovative programmatic, tactical, and communication plans to address needs. 
  • Serves as project manager for employee engagement surveys, including acting as main liaison with external vendor(s) and internal resourcing and communications. Analyzes engagement data to identify trends, inform recommendations and contribute to discussions regarding systemic trends to drive engagement.
  • Acts as project manager on assigned and varied HR projects impacting employee recognition, retention and engagement, including creating and maintaining comprehensive roadmaps, creating prioritization, and aligning resources across cross-functional teams.
  • Monitors and manages Engagement, Recognition, and Employee Resource Center budgets.

New Employee Orientation Programming:

  • Management and oversight of the NEO program, including a PT NEO Coordinator, ensuring consistency and a robust new employee experience. Accountable for NEO support and program facilitators (Learning Ambassadors). Aligns and partners with Talent Acquisition for necessary planning to ensure appropriate NEO program offerings each month, and overall effective onboarding process.
  • Management and oversight of   measuring NEO program effectiveness and recommending operational recommendations to enhance as appropriate.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed

above:

  • Supports the Live Your Legacy Annual Award selection process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design or other related field required.
  • Five (5) years’ experience working in Human Resources.
  • 1 year experience in Career Services delivery.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various workforce segments of a healthcare organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in healthcare educational department.
