Pre-Employment Tasks

Employment with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is dependent on successfully completing several onboarding tasks. These tasks are location and job specific. Please note, failure to successfully complete these onboarding tasks may result in a delay of your start date and/or the withdrawal of your employment offer.

A brief description of the onboarding tasks is provided below. In addition, an assigned onboarding coordinator will reach out to you, following your offer acceptance, for a welcome call. They will review these requirements and the steps to complete them. The onboarding coordinator will serve as your point of contact throughout your onboarding experience. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.

Child Protective Law Clearances

ACT 73 Clearances, which include the FBI fingerprinting and child abuse clearances, are required for positions that come into direct contact with children. If your position requires these clearances, your onboarding coordinator will inform you.

If required, these clearances must be provided prior to your first day of employment. If the physical clearance does not arrive prior to your first day of employment, proof of completion (i.e., a receipt) must be submitted to your onboarding coordinator.

The cost of these clearances is your responsibility.
